About Us

About playfarkle.app

We publish a free, modern browser version of Farkle — the classic six-dice push-your-luck game — with a computer opponent, hot dice, and a layout that works on any screen.

Our craft

Six dice. One decision.

Roll, keep, and decide whether the next throw is worth what you could lose. That loop is everything we design around.

What we make

A free Farkle that stays in the browser

playfarkle.app is the site behind our version of Farkle. The product is a single-player dice game: roll six dice, set aside scoring dice, bank or roll again, and race a computer opponent to 10,000 points.

There is nothing to download. The game is the website, which keeps load times short and works on phones and desktops alike. Wins, scores, streaks, and other stats live in local browser storage on your device.

The rules and scoring in our how-to-play guide and FAQ describe this exact build. Farkle has many house rules, so if another site scores a hand differently, that is a variant, not a mistake.

Origins and design

A centuries-old idea, rebuilt for the browser

  1. 01

A very old family of games

Farkle belongs to a family of dice games in which you keep rolling to build a total and lose it all if you push too far. Versions have circulated for centuries as Ten Thousand, Zilch, Dix Mille, and Greed. Rules differ from table to table, but the heart is always the same: keep the scoring dice, then bank or roll again.

  2. 02

Why it works as a game

Almost every Farkle decision is a small gamble with a known price. Rolling six dice fails about 2% of the time; rolling one die fails two times in three. Because the odds are calculable but the dice are not, beginners can enjoy it in one turn while experienced players still find real decisions in the final round.

  3. 03

    This build

playfarkle.app is an independent, modern implementation of the most common ruleset: six dice, first to 10,000, a 500-point opening threshold, hot dice, and a final round for the trailing player. It runs entirely in your browser against a computer opponent, with no plugin, no login, and no server holding your dice.

What we stand for

Principles behind every roll

Instant to start

Open the page and the table is ready. No account wall, no download, no splash video — press Play and roll.

Fair dice

Both you and the computer roll real random dice in your browser. The computer follows the same rules and never sees your rolls.

Yours to keep

Wins, streaks, best score, and biggest turn live on your device. We do not hold your record hostage behind a login, because there is no login.

Free, for real

The whole game is free. No energy meters, no interstitial video ads between games, no paywall on any feature.
